iOS: With apps like Drafts and Launch Center Pro, automation on iOS has been possible for a while, but it's also been a very heady, complex experience. Workflow's a new app that makes automation a lot easier to understand.
With Workflow, you can create Automator-like actions on iOS using a simple, drag-and-drop interface. You do this by chaining together different actions. For example, you can set it up do do something simple like tweet the currently playing song, or more complex, like automatically summoning an Uber to a location from your calendar at the end of an event. You can set this workflows to trigger from inside the app, a home screen button, or from a share sheet. While the real power comes in creating your own workflows, you can also browse through the Workflow gallery to see what other people have created. This makes learning the app a bit easier and helps generate ideas. It's an incredibly extensible app that makes automation about as easy as it's going to get on iOS.
