What's The Best CPU Cooler?

If you're building a new PC and you're planning to overclock, or you just want your new rig to be as quiet as possible, you'll probably want some aftermarket cooling for your processor. You have tons of options, but this week we want to hear which ones you think are the best.

Sure, stock cooling is probably good enough for a lot of people, but if you want to push your processor to its limits or you want to build a super-silent computer that won't sound like a jet engine every time you fire up an HD movie or a great video game, a little extra cooling is in order. Have a favorite cooling kit to nominate? Let's hear it in the nominations below!

Let's hear your vote in the discussions below! To cast your vote, follow these guidelines:

  1. Follow this format for your vote, including the bold print. If you don't, it won't be counted:

    Vote: [BEST CPU COOLER]

Why: Explain why this cooling kit stands above the others. What makes it the one you'd recommend to others, and why? Make your case! Try to keep it to a single paragraph, maybe two. Let us know how much it costs, if you know.

  2. Don't duplicate nominations! Instead, if someone's nominated your pick, star (recommend) it to give it a boost, and reply with your story instead.

  3. Please don't leave non-entry, direct comments on this post. They'll just get pushed down. Save your stories for others' submissions!

If you're not sure what we mean, just check out the nominations by our writers below. We'll give you a head start, and they should all be in the proper format, so you can just follow our lead.
