You can find the most tax-friendly places to retire, and you can find the best places to stretch your dollar in retirement. But the best places to retire, overall? The answer will depend greatly on your personal situation and preferences. This interactive tool helps you decide where to retire, based on factors that matter to you.
Zillow teamed up with Reuters to develop the tool, which is based on demographic information, analyzed weather data and data from Zillow's own home value index. To use the tool, select your preferences and priorities in a few areas, including:
- Population
- Home values
- Access to healthcare
But you can also narrow down your selections based on crime, entertainment and weather. Once you make your selections, the map will show you the best places for you to retire, across the country.
