Remove Suggested Items from Your eBay Home Page

Three years ago, I bought a Nook Simple Touch for a project. Since then, eBay’s front page is just filled with all the Nooks people are selling. If that sounds familiar, here’s how to turn it off.

It turns out, according to Ghacks, that this list is generated by “following” certain searches or categories on eBay. It’s possible that eBay automatically follows (or used to follow) categories as you searched them, or otherwise generates this list behind the scenes. But it’s very easy to unfollow these searches.

Just scroll down and click the “Interests You Follow” button on the left-hand side of the page, From there, you can click on each of the searches in your list, then click the big “Unfollow” button along the top to unfollow it. Once you’ve done this for all your followed interests, your front page will no longer have all these old suggested items.

It’s hardly the worst thing in the world, but it’s nice to finally get rid of the products I’m not interested in—and maybe even use that follow function to keep an eye on stuff I am interested in.
