Android/iOS: Trimming your grocery bill is one of the simplest ways to save money, but hunting for deals and clipping coupons is a chore. Enter Favado, a time- and money-saving app that notifies you of the best deals at your local grocery store, drugstore, and warehouse club.
Favado covers over 65,000 stores nationwide, including Aldi, Costco, CVS, Albertsons, Dollar Tree, Safeway, Fairway, Whole Foods, and more. Add your favorite stores and the app will show you what’s on sale, including secret sales that aren’t advertised, according to the app developers. You can save your favorite items or brands for a special sales list, add items to a shopping list, and also see available coupons for items to get even better prices on those sale items.
Check the settings option to have notifications when you’re in or near the store and Favado will alert you of the deals available.
As for the savings estimate, Favado says:
The average shopper can save 30% by purchasing products that are listed on sale within the app, along with the other items needed. Savvy shoppers also save an average of 50% by following the sales cycles, only buying items when they are on sale and using the occasional coupon. Super Saver Shoppers can save up to 70% by using coupons every week combined with sale prices, as well as additional store promotions and offers.
The app isn’t new (it’s been out for a year), but we haven’t featured it before, aside from mentioning it in a recent top 10. Since many of us want to save more money on food, this is an awesome app to have on your phone.
