Social assistance is a touchy topic. Some think it’s a necessary part of improving the poverty problem; others think it’s what’s making our economy weak in the first place. But we’re not here to debate. We just want to know: if you used government-funded assistance, did it actually help you?
We want to hear from people who have used social assistance or are using it now. The program doesn’t matter. It could be unemployment, food assistance, healthcare assistance, etc. We’re only interested in your experience. Tell us a bit about why you needed it, why it helped, or why it didn’t help. Did it make a difference to your financial situation, long-term?
We simply want to learn about experiences with these types of programs. So tell us: if you used social welfare assistance, did it help you get back on your feet?
