T-Mobile Makes Binge On Throttling Easier to Disable

T-Mobile’s Binge On service is a nice way around data caps because it makes it so certain video and audio streams don’t count against your data plan, but to handle that load, T-Mobile downgrades video quality. Thankfully, Binge On is now a lot easier to disable.

Previously, you had to head into your actual T-Mobile account to disable Binge On, but now you just need to type a code into your phone’s dialer. Open up the phone app on your phone and type out:

  • #BNG# (#264#): To check whether Binge on is enable or not.
  • #BOG# (#263#): Turns Binge On Off
  • #BON# (#266#): Turns Bing On back on

The toggle for Binge On is also a lot easier to find when you log into you T-Mobile account. Log in, and you’ll see if Binge On is enabled right under your plan details. You can turn it on or off there as well, or just head straight to the settings page. Remember though, if you turn off Binge On, any streaming video or audio will count against your data plan (which as of today also includes Amazon Video, WWE Network, Fox News, and Univision).
