A bit of gratitude does more than just make you feel good: it can improve your finances, help your relationships, and even make you work better. Throwing a little gratitude at your colleagues at the end of the day can help set a productive precedent for the following day.
It’s a simple enough suggestion. Over at Business Insider, Tim Hird, executive director of Robert Half Management Resources, gives few tips for ending the day on a high note. He says saying thank you can go a long way:
Whether it’s for nailing an investor presentation or grabbing lunch for you when you didn’t have a chance to break away, expressing gratitude generates positive feelings and makes others — and you — feel good. “Ending each day on a positive note gives us a head start on tomorrow,” says Hird.
It may sound a little corny, but feeling appreciated can be quite motivating, and “thank you” is a powerful phrase. For more tips, check out Business Insider’s full post at the link below.
