Android: On the desktop, you’re probably used to opening up multiple Google search tabs at once. Now you can do the same thing by tapping the Google icon before you begin a new search on Android.
As Android Police points out, usually if you’re searching for something on Android and you want to start a new search, it will override the last thing you were looking for. However, if you tap the Google icon in the search box before you begin typing, it will create a new search instance. That way, you can tap the Recents button (Lollipop and above) to cycle through your previous searches, as in the screenshot above. It’s not quite the same as having multiple tabs on a desktop browser, but it’s close.
Tip: Tapping The G Icon In The Google Search App Creates A New Search And Leaves The Previous One Accessible Using The Recents Button | Android Police
