Target just made it even easier to go in for “just one thing” and walk out with a bunch of stuff you didn’t know you needed. As of today, the retailer has made some big changes to its price match policy. Here’s what’s new.
A number of retailers have fairly decent price match policies, but up until now, Target only matched with five stores (Amazon.com, Walmart.com, BestBuy.com, ToysRUs.com, and BabiesRUs.com). Starting October 1, they’ll now price match with 24 more retailers. According to the site, here’s the full list:
Amazon.com, Babiesrus.com, BedBathBeyond.com, Bestbuy.com, BN.com, Buybuybaby.com, Costco.com, CVS.com, Diapers.com, DicksSportingGoods.com, Drugstore.com, Gamestop.com, JCPenney.com, Kmart.com, Kohls.com, Macys.com, Newegg.com, Officedepot.com, Petco.com, Petsmart.com, Samsclub.com, Sears.com, SportsAuthority.com, Staples.com, Target.com, Toysrus.com, Ulta.com. Walgreens.com, Walmart.com and Wayfair.com.
Costco and Sam’s Club in particular are pretty impressive, considering you need a membership to shop there. What’s more, Target’s price adjustment period is longer now, too. You now have 14 days to ask for a price adjustment if you buy something and then see it cheaper somewhere else. Also, items on the Target website are now eligible for price matching, too.
This is all pretty good news for consumers, as it makes it even easier to find and score the lowest price. As we’ve told you before, you can use a price matching app like Red Laser to look up prices in store, and when you’re shopping online, check out InvisibleHand.
