Make Awesome DIY Choco Tacos with a Little Help from Your Microwave

While hanging out with some young people this summer, I offered a trip to the ice cream truck, Choco-Tacos all around. This ended up being an expensive bribe, because each frozen treat rang in at a cool $4.95. If I had seen the above video sooner, I would have saved about fifteen bucks.

The video also contains tutorials for strawberry shortcake ice cream bars and Drumstick-like treats, but the highlight is how they transform a store-bought waffle bowl into a waffle taco shell using a bit of maple syrup and the microwave. You just coat the bowls in maple syrup, microwave them upside down for 30 seconds, and BAM! You now have a malleable waffle, ready to be shaped into taco shell form. Fill it with the ice cream of your choice, coat the edges with chocolate and peanuts, and enjoy.
