For as fun as they are, it seems like social music streaming sites don’t have a very long lifespan. While our previous favorite Plug.dj shuttered its doors yesterday, Dubtrack is a competent alternative that can fill the void.
Unlike Plug.dj (and Turntable.fm before it), Dubtrack doesn’t have a virtual dance floor populated by cartoon avatars. That minor feature aside, it hits all the same notes. Users can create playlists of YouTube videos or Soundcloud tracks and share them with a room of people who are all listening with you. The interface isn’t quite as easy to navigate as plug.dj, but beggars can’t be choosers.
