Clean Gunked-Up Electric Stove Burners with Baking Soda

Kitchen accidents happen. Whether it’s the occasional boil-over or a big spill, your electric stove burners are bound to get a little gunked up after awhile. When a simple wiping won’t do, turn to the do-anything household multitasker: baking soda.

Apartment Therapy notes that you can often just turn the burners on high to burn off any caked-on food, but if they need a deeper clean, baking soda is the answer. Let them cool completely, then remove them from the stovetop and clean them with a paste of baking soda and water. For really stubborn stains, let it sit for 20 minutes before rinsing it off with a damp rag (be careful of the electrical connections, though!).

Check out Apartment Therapy’s post for full step-by-step instructions, with pictures. And while we’re on the subject, don’t forget all the other stuff baking soda can clean in your house.http://ift.tt/1MEbGkN...
