A whole lot of people enjoy drinking wine, but there’s still a lot of confusion surrounding it. This video explains the truth about three commonly held wine beliefs.
Gerald Morgan, professional Sommelier, takes the reins in this video on the Art of Manliness YouTube channel to clarify some myths associated with wine. Morgan explains that smelling the cork won’t tell you if a wine is good (you want to look at the coloring instead), that wine certainly does pair with chocolate (as long as you pair the right kinds together), and that wines with good “legs,” the droplets that form and roll down the side of the glass, are not necessarily a good wines. Morgan also closes out with a great tip if you’ve been out wine tasting and want to cleanse your palate (hint: drink some beer).
