Keep Mirrors From Fogging Up With Car Wax


Steamy showers make for foggy mirrors. But if you want to walk out of the shower to a clear reflection, a little car wax can help with that.


Over at This Old House, writer Jennifer Stimpson suggests:



Rub a thin layer of car wax onto a bathroom mirror and buff it clean. Next time you step out of the shower, you'll be able to see your reflection without having to wipe away condensation first.



In fact, you can also use the wax to protect your shower doors and tile from water spots. A paper from North Carolina State University says this is also useful for preventing mildew. But they warn against waxing shower floors, as that can cause slipping.
