Chromecast Adds Autoplay, Queuing, Second Screen Capability, and More

Google announced a slew of updates for the Chromecast today, including an autoplay feature, queue management, and more.

Autoplaying will work just like Netflix’s, where a new episode automatically plays when you finish one. It will work for any content provider with Chromecast compatible apps that enable it. Likewise, you’ll also be able to create queues so you can order clips to play in whatever order you choose. The Chromecast will also get remote display capabilities so you can use your iOS or Android device as a second screen, displaying one interface on your TV and another on your device. If gaming is more your thing, Google’s also promising some cool multiplayer capabilities for Chromecast gaming that should make it easier to play games with others.
