T-Mobile's New Prepaid Plans with Unlimited Everything Start at $40

T-Mobile announced today new monthly prepaid plans that include unlimited data, talk, and text starting at $40 a month.

Technically it's unlimited, but after a certain LTE allotment, your data will be throttled (to 8 Mbps speeds). You won't be charged extra for going over, though, and talk and text are truly unlimited.

Here's the price and data allotment breakdown:

• $40 / month for unlimited data, talk and text + up to 1GB of 4G LTE


• $50 / month for unlimited data, talk and text + up to 3GB of 4G LTE


• $60 / month for unlimited data, talk and text + up to 5GB of 4G LTE

You also get Wi-Fi calling for free, and while tethering and other special features like "music freedom" (music streaming that doesn't count towards your data usage) aren't included, the prices are pretty attractive.
