iOS: Comparing online prices is pretty easy these days. There are a plenty of extensions and websites that will do the work for you. PriceJump not only finds you the lowest price for online items; it also tells you where to find the cheapest price at nearby stores.
We've written about this tool before, which is a product of Savings.com. The original version is a web site and browser extension that tells you which Amazon products can be found cheaper elsewhere. Since installing it, I used it to save about $100 on a Rode mic.
PriceJump is now available as an app, with added features. It compares prices for products in-store, online and on Amazon, categorizing them as "best," "online" and "local." If you're in-store, you can scan a barcode, and the app will show you other prices.
