PKWARE announced the appointment of Craig Irwin as the company’s vice president of global sales.
In this role, Irwin will lead the new sales business as well as the execution of sales plans and initiatives to capitalize on revenue opportunities worldwide for the company’s PK Protect product suite, designed to secure customers’ sensitive data wherever it lives or moves. He will report directly to Tonya Cannady, executive vice president and chief revenue officer for PKWARE.
“Craig brings a compelling mix of cybersecurity technology expertise and performance-focused sales leadership, with international experience in a range of industries and geographies, which will be foundational to fuel our continued growth,” said Cannady. “More importantly, he enjoys building, coaching, and developing global sales teams while aligning this to delivering value to our customers. This combination will be critical as we expand our customer footprint and accelerate growth globally.”
Irwin has more than 20 years’ experience delivering revenue goals and growing team expertise through coaching and improved product development and sales processes. Prior to PKWARE, he served as the vice president of global strategy, product and sales for Tehama, a secure digital office platform and before that as the vice president of solution strategy and sales for Pythian, an IT services company.
Earlier in his career, Irwin served as the vice president of sales and chief operating officer of North America for Apica, an application performance company, as well as chief technology officer for Third Wave Technology Services, an IT solutions company.
“Now more than ever, securing a company’s sensitive data regardless of where it resides is a business imperative for companies across all industries as they look to avoid breaches, comply with regulations and ensure the trust of their customers,” said Irwin. “PKWARE is more than just an iconic name in the industry; through key innovations and strategic deals, it has quickly assembled the ideal product suite to address data security regardless of data types or repositories, device, or environment—just a simple and scalable way for enterprises to lock down personal data.”
Irwin is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), active in both the go-to-market and cybersecurity industry groups and community as well as a member of the Infragard. He holds a bachelor’s degree in International Business and Spanish from University of North Carolina Wilmington.
Based on its growing customer opportunities around the world, PKWARE continues to expand its leadership team, including the promotion of Mike Wood to vice president of product management and the recent appointment of Marc Punzirudu as field chief technology officer.
