Vehere appoints Vijay Gullapalli as Director of Engineering

Cyber Situational Awareness firm Vehere announced that Vijay Gullapalli has joined the organization as Director of Engineering. He will be based in Dallas, United States, and drive the vision, strategy, design and development of Vehere’s Cyber Situational Awareness platforms. He will also be responsible for the management of Vehere’s R&D and technological prowess.

Gullapalli is an experienced Engineering leader with a proven track record in Enterprise, Network and Cloud Security products. He has achieved high-quality releases on schedule for cloud access security broker (CASB), Firewall and IPS products. Gullapalli is zealous about quality, execution velocity and innovation, and is accomplished at building and leading global high-performance teams. He also has interests in emerging technologies and Internet of Things (IoT).

Gullapalli joins Vehere after his stint as Engineering and Technology leader for leading cybersecurity companies. He spent well over 16 years at McAfee, as the Senior Director of Engineering, Cloud Security, and the leader of a team of engineers, managers and architects delivering Web Gateway, Web SaaS, DLP and Cloud Data Protection SaaS (CASB) products and solutions.

Following his time at McAfee, Gullapalli worked at Optiv as Senior Director/Head of Engineering, and as technology leader for Cybersecurity start-ups.

Naveen Jaiswal, Founder and CTO of Vehere, said, “With his strong background in Cybersecurity and leading various Engineering teams, Vijay will bolster Vehere’s research and development activities with a thrust on innovation. Gullapalli is a Master of Science in Computer Science, from the University of Louisiana and holds a Bachelor of Technology degree from JNTU College of Engineering.
