While Cinco de Mayo is day that honors Mexican independence and heritage, it’s also commonly celebrated by getting stuffed with food and drink. And with that comes the opportunity to take advantage of tie-in promos. Here’s a round-up of some national restaurant chains with discounts and freebies on offer for May 5:

7-Eleven customers can purchase a small Slurpee drink for $1 and get four mini tacos for free when ordering through their app.

Abuelo’s is offering all-day drink specials, including an $8.95 Flag Margarita and $5 margaritas, plus a free shaker you can take home with the purchase of an El Jefe Margarita.

Bahama Breeze is offering $5 classic margaritas all day.

El Pollo Loco is giving away a free 5-ounce bottle of Tapatío hot sauce to Loco Rewards members who order through the El Pollo Loco app on May 5. They’re also offering five Tacos al Carbon for the price of two.

Chili’s is offering five “fiesta worthy” $5 margaritas, discounted draft beers, and an online contest to seek out the locations of 25 piñatas hidden in five cities using clues posted on social media. Each piñata contains a $500 gift card.

Chuy’s is doing happy hour pricing all day.

Chronic Tacos is offering a two-taco plate for $5 with the purchase of a drink, at participating locations.

G/O Media may get a commission

Hungry Howie’s is selling medium 1-topping pizzas for $5.55 each through May 5 if you use the code “CINCO” when placing your order.

Price Chopper is offering Tex-Mex themed discounts on grocery items through May 5.

Taco Cabana is offering a deal on “La Bandera” margarita, which will be available at all participating Taco Cabana locations for $3.

Taco John’s is currently offering five beef soft tacos for $5.55 through May 5.

Some unrelated offers to consider

Tomorrow, McDonalds is giving away a free Caramel Brownie McFlurry through its mobile app at participating restaurants nationwide, but the deal is only valid May 4, so you can pre-game for Cinco with a bit of ice cream.

Taco Bell seems to be getting the jump on Cinco de Mayo promotions by giving away food a day early as well; on May 4, they’re offering a free Crunchy Taco as part of the company’s “Taco Moon” promotion.
