To say that we could use a break right now is a massive understatement. And sure, it’s been nice not having to do our usual commute, there’s also something incredibly exhausting about spending all day interacting with other people exclusively online. If you keep dreaming of packing up an RV and spending a weekend camping in a National Park while doing a digital detox, then you might want to apply for this.

What it is and how to apply

This is another one of those situations where an amazing-sounding opportunity is billed as a “job” you can apply for, when it’s just a fancy way of saying “contest.” Anyway, SatelliteInternet.com has one of those going right now where you can apply to spend one weekend in an RV in a National Park without the internet and get $1,000.

The good news is that the application “process” consists of filling out a quick form. And honestly, you don’t need to spend a lot of time on it, because the winner of the contest person selected for the job will be chosen at random.

G/O Media may get a commission

So what are they looking for in their randomly selected employee? According to SatelliteInternet.com, they want “a weekend warrior ready for awe-inspiring outdoor action in the national park of their choice. Whether you’re a city slicker, a suburban student, or a rural resident, we welcome anyone to apply who’s looking for a little more nature time.”

In order to apply, you must be eligible to work in the US, 25 years or older and able to drive legally in any state you’ll travel through. A winner will be selected on September 23, 2020, at 11:59 p.m. (MDT), and the person will have until September 30, 2020, at 11:59 p.m. (MDT) to accept the position. Good luck!
