Now that we’re out and about again, we may be spending less time on home improvement projects—especially compared to the past year-and-a-half. Being stuck at home all the time with very few socialization options gave us the time to devote to our living spaces, and get some of those tasks that had been hanging over our heads finished.
And while some DIY endeavors don’t exactly turn out as planned, others end up exceeding our expectations. If you fall into the second category, you should show off your successful creations. Now, thanks to a photo contest, you can do exactly that. Here’s what to know.
The Home Improvement Masterpiece Photo Contest
Workshopedia recently launched their first-ever DIY Home Improvement Masterpiece Photo Contest, giving people the opportunity to showcase pictures of their best home DIY projects for a chance to win $1,000.
So, what counts as a DIY project? Here’s how Workshopedia defines it:
If you did it yourself, and it’s for a home or garden project, it counts. It could be a shelf, an outdoor shower, a planter, you name it! We welcome highly creative, stylized photos of anything you’ve built or created for your or someone else’s home or yard.
G/O Media may get a commission
How to enter the DIY Home Improvement Masterpiece Photo Contest
It’s time to scroll through your phone’s camera roll and find the best pictures of your project. If you didn’t capture it initially, you can also snap a new one now.
In order to enter, you must be at least 18 years of age, and a citizen or permanent resident of the United States to apply. Even if you have a full album of your DIY successes, there is a limit of one photo per person for this contest.
When you’re ready to submit, fill out this entry form, including uploading your photo, by Friday, July 16, 2021. The winner will be announced on Friday, August 6th.
