While NASCAR, like all other sports, is on hold right now, Sunday you have the opportunity to watch a virtual race, where professional stock car racers hop into simulators rather than actual cars to compete.
NASCAR has been holding the eNASCAR iRacing Pro Invitational Series for a few weeks now. It’s following the normal NASCAR schedule, and has drivers playing a video game as themselves.
Races have included a number of current drivers as well as some retired favorites such as Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Denny Hamlin.
Races are commentated on in real-time by NASCAR announcers, giving the whole experience something pretty close to the real thing, or as close as you’re going to get without cars and an actual racetrack.
Sunday’s race airs at 1pm ET on FOX, FS1, and the Fox Sports app.
If you have a television, the easiest way to watch is obviously just tuning into FOX using your cable subscription or digital antenna.
If you don’t, almost every streaming service also offers access to FOX. While FOX is offered in “most markets” on all the services if you do decide to sign up for one watch the race it’s worth double-checking to make sure your area is included.
And every streaming service offers a free trial, so if you want to watch without paying you can take one out for a spin for free, provided you haven’t already taken advantage of the free trial option.
If you decide to stick around, or you just forget to cancel that free trial, here’s what each service will cost:
Hulu with Live TV $54.99 per month
YouTubeTV $49.99 per month
AT&T TV Now $50 per month
FuboTV $55 for the first month
Sling TV - $20 for the first month
