Datadog provides HIPAA compliant log management

Datadog, the leading monitoring and analytics platform for modern cloud environments, announced that its Log Management service has met requirements for the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).

With this announcement, Datadog’s healthcare customers, and their business associates subject to HIPAA, can use the Datadog Log Management service for applications that process, maintain, and store protected health information.

“Achieving HIPAA compliance is a part of our ongoing commitment to applying high standards for privacy and security for all our customers, including those in highly regulated industries,” said Andrew Becherer, Chief Security Officer at Datadog. “Protecting individuals’ health information is a serious responsibility, and we look forward to helping healthcare customers build and maintain their technology while meeting that responsibility.”

Datadog has also received SOC 2 Type I and Type II certification, and is compliant with GDPR.
