Walmart is the third major retailer to formally and officially announce its Black Friday plans, after Target and Best Buy. Early Black Friday deals this year are good, and you should be checking them out if you haven’t already. However, make sure to shop smartly this Black Friday so you don’t end up duped or overspending. But since you’re a savvy shopper, here is what you can expect from Walmart this Black Friday.
Early Black Friday deals for Walmart+ members
This year, Walmart+ members will have access to every online Black Friday and Cyber Monday sale three hours before they are released to the public to get first dibs on deals. In an effort to get more people to sign up for their membership, Walmart is currently offering their annual membership plan for 50% off until Nov. 8 (you’ll be auto-renewed for $98 per year unless you cancel).
What is Walmart doing for Black Friday 2023?
Walmart will be having two separate events for Black Friday: an early Black Friday sale and another sale during Black Friday. Both will start online and then transition to stores two days later. Walmart will also have a third online-only sale for Cyber Monday after Black Friday. They will be offering free shipping for orders over $35 or if you pick them up yourself in-store.
- Nov. 8 to Nov. 21: Walmart’s early Black Friday sale starts online on Nov. 8 at 3 p.m. ET (12 p.m. ET for Walmart+ members) and will continue in stores on Friday, Nov. 10.
- Nov. 22 to Nov. 26: Walmart’s Black Friday sale will begin online on Wednesday, Nov. 22 at 3 p.m. ET (12 p.m. ET for Walmart+ members) and will continue in stores starting Friday, Nov. 24.
- Nov. 27: Walmart’s Cyber Monday sale will begin on Nov. 27. This sale will be completely online, as Cyber Monday deals usually are. Walmart+ members will get early access for three hours before deals go public.
