The Best Prime Day Deals on Apple Devices

Apple makes some expensive tech, so it makes sense to take advantage of savings when you can. While the company’s refurbished store is always a smart place to start your shopping, maybe you’d prefer a brand new Apple device. Amazon can help you there: For Prime Day 2023, the online merchant has some good deals on Apple Watches, iPads, and AirPods, so you can score some new products while keeping a little extra cash in your wallet.

Like every year, Prime Day 2023 runs for two days (July 11 and July 12). If you’re interested, make sure to pull the trigger before items go out of stock.

Apple Watch

If you’ve been waiting on picking up a new Apple Watch until a good deal comes through, this might be your moment. Amazon has all Apple Watch Series 8 models discounted by $100. Whether you’re interested in a 41mm or 45mm size, a cellular or a GPS-only model, or an aluminum or a stainless steel finish, every iteration of the Series 8 will cost 100 bucks less.

The biggest proportional savings will be for the smaller, 41mm GPS-only Series 8, which sees a price cut from $399 to $299.

Amazon also has deals on the 2nd-gen Apple Watch SE, although not quite as steep. You can pick up this watch for $50 off, whether you go for the GPS or the cellular models. The good news is these watches are less expensive than the Series 8 to begin with, since they have slightly smaller displays, no Always-On display, lack ECG and blood oxygen monitors, omit the U1 chip for enhanced Find My capabilities, and can’t fast charge. In most other ways, it’s the same watch, so it’s extremely capable at a lower price point:

iPad

Amazon isn’t offering any Pro deals on iPads this year, nor is the Air on sale. However, there are still some solid iPad savings here. You can get a 64GB iPad 10, the newest generation of the standard iPad, for $70 off, and a 256GB for $80 off (whether you go for the cellular or wifi-only models). The iPad 10 has a modern form factor with a 10.9-inch edge-to-edge display, an efficient A14 Bionic chip, and a USB-C port, making it a modern iPad at a more reasonable price point:

Amazon also has discounts on the previous generation iPad 9. While it sports an old-school form factor, lower-quality display, and a slower chip, the iPad 9 is still a great tablet in 2023. You will not find a better tablet for $249 (or even $379 if you want to bump up the storage):

If you’re looking for something a little smaller, the iPad mini 6 is also on sale. It’s actually the most powerful iPad of the bunch with its A15 Bionic chip, and has the better display compared to the iPad 9 or 10, albeit with a smaller footprint. The problem is, it’s usually a bit expensive, starting at $499 for 64GB, so these deals are more than welcome:

AirPods

Prime Day has discounts on Apple’s second and third generation of AirPods. That means you can choose between the classic AirPods design, or, for an additional $60, you can snag the company’s latest iteration. If you want features like Spatial Audio, sweat and water resistance, improved audio and mic quality, additional touch controls, and longer battery life, spring for the 3rd-gen. That said, the deepest discount is on the 2nd-gen, making them the most affordable way to break into Apple’s wireless earbud ecosystem:
