Most Popular LED Flashlight: Fenix

Most Popular LED Flashlight: Fenix

Many a flashlight lit up our nominations rounds, but the Fenix brand, specifically the PD35, shone brightest, locking up your vote for best LED flashlight.http://ift.tt/1c2r5VL...

Stupid bright with lots of spill (960 lumens), with multiple modes depending on desired brightness or battery run time, but still super small enough to carry in a pocket. Very rugged and high quality, even down to the threads and o-rings. Also takes multiple types of batteries, both rechargeable and not. - Anti-Star Super-Christ

Back in 2012, another Fenix took fourth place in Gizmodo’s Best LED Flashlight roundup.http://ift.tt/1H4F8uu...

As sometimes happens, we had to make a call about how to proceed following the nominations round. The Fenix was the most popular LED flashlight and the most recommended flashlight in general by a mile. The question was whether running a vote that essentially pitted Fenix against the incandescent Maglite would benefit anyone. Ultimately we decided against that. Maglite does make LED models, but they did not receive significant support.

Only problem is their competitors put out significantly more light with higher build qualities now at similar or lower prices. I used to be a die hard maglite fan, but they have not kept up with modern LED technology at all. Their LED torches suck compared to the competition. - Emerald
