iOS/Mac: In an odd move, the original version of the non-jailbreak version of Popcorn Time required a Windows computer to install it. Thankfully, Mac users can get in on the fun now with a new Mac installer.
Popcorn Time allows you to stream movie torrents, and been called the “Netflix for pirates” since it first launched. The iOS version of the app has been available on jailbroken devices for a while and installable from a special Windows-based app since last month via a special installer than circumvents Apple’s restrictions and installs the app directly from your computer. Now that installer is available for Mac. Just download the app, connect your iOS device, and the installer will guide you through the rest. As always, torrenting is something your ISP can see, so be careful if you plan on using it.
