Amazon's October Prime Big Deal Days sale (aka "October Prime Day") is just around the corner, but as is usually the case, you can already take advantage of some early deals. Also unsurprising: The best early deals are on Amazon's own devices, including its 4K TVs.
The Fire TV 4-Series is Amazon's budget 4K smart TV, and it tends to drops in price every time the company has a major sale. Right now, it's $299.98 (down from $449.99) for the 50-inch version. (Although the other sizes are also on sale, the 50-inch model has the best discount right now, according to price-checking tools.)
The Amazon Fire TV 4-Series won't blow you away when compared to more expensive models, but it performs exceptionally for the price point, and is a good value for the money. It is a 4K Ultra HD smart TV with HDR 10 and HLG support, promising rich color and good contrast on both streaming and live TV broadcasts. As it is a Fire TV, it comes with the Fire OS pre-installed and has an Alexa-enabled remote.
The TV has 4 HDMI inputs (three HDMI 2.0 and one HDMI eARC 2.1) to connect your gaming devices and Blu-ray player.
This LED TV launched in 2021 as a cheaper counterpart to the Fire TV Omni Series, which offers Dolby Vision (on the 65" and 75" versions) and hands-free Alexa. Meanwhile, the Amazon Fire TV Omni QLED Series is a budget option for those looking for a QLED TV, while the 2-Series, which came out in 2023, is an even cheaper alternative to the 4-Series.
