Make a Dust Collector Using a Wet/Dry Shop Vac

Dust collection systems can be costly and are often times overkill for the requirements of a small workshop. But protecting yourself and sensitive electronic equipment from airborne particles is a concern, no matter what size your workshop is.

The DIY dust collection system shown in the video above is powered by a wet/dry shop vac and uses a Dust Deputy Cyclone to collect dust into a standard 5 gallon shop bucket. 2 1/2” fittings, clamps, blast gates, and flexible tubing connect everything.

This is a great solution for maintaining a cleaner shop and healthier work environment.
